From above, you see the path of the marsh,” he said. “The Ben Sawyer is also so cool from above.” His hobby gained even more public interest after he began taking photos of container ships. From Station 12, he flies his drone directly above the ships and takes multiple photos as they pass below, and later stiches them together to create large images. Many of them are now on display at the Wando Terminal, and another was featured on “Southern Charm’s” Chelsea Meissner’s Instagram after she purchased one of his prints. “It’s been a lot of fun,” he smiled. “The unique perspective you get from the sky – it opened my mind up to the way it really is.
