And a really perfect day includes buying a Strawberry Scooter ice cream bar at lunch and taking a moment to walk down the boardwalk and soak in the surrounding beauty. Your favorite way to spend the holiday season/favorite memory: I love being surrounded by family at the holidays. My favorite memory was receiving a 4-foot dollhouse when I was in second grade. Your favorite way to spend the holiday season/favorite memory: During the holidays, I like to return “home” to Illinois for cold weather and to rekindle old friendships. My favorite holiday was last Christmas when I took my 13-year-old grandson to New York City to see the Rockettes and the musical “School of Rock.” Favorite quote or philosophy: I try to adhere to the “main thing theory” – “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” [ Facetime ] Photo by Sally Watts Photography.
